Yacht and Tennis Club Condos, St. Pete Beach

Updated October 2026.

The Yacht and Tennis Club of St. Pete Beach is a gated waterfront condo community on Blind Pass Road at the north end of St. Pete Beach, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and Boca Ciega Bay. The association describes 353 condo units on 13 acres, with seven tennis courts, a marina and 24-hour security. It suits full-time residents, seasonal owners and boaters who want an amenity-rich, owner-use community, and it is not a fit for pet owners or short-term rental investors.

We are John and Nicole Kavaliauskas, licensed Florida Realtors with LoKation Real Estate. Here is what the association website, public records and listing data show about the Yacht and Tennis Club, and what to confirm before you buy.

Location and setting

The Yacht and Tennis Club sits at the northern tip of St. Pete Beach near Blind Pass, the inlet between St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island. The community faces the Intracoastal Waterway and Boca Ciega Bay rather than the Gulf, so views are of the bay, the marina and the water traffic. An agent page describes the community as steps from the Treasure Island beaches across the pass.

Restaurants and shops along Gulf Boulevard and in Treasure Island are a short drive away. For more on the city, see our St. Pete Beach guide.

Residences and amenities

Agent pages and listing records describe mostly two bedroom, two bath units of about 1,175 to 1,270 square feet, with a range across the community of roughly 1,160 to 1,430 square feet and some three bedroom plans. Many units have balconies facing the water.

The association website and listing records describe these shared amenities:

  • A heated waterfront pool and spa on Boca Ciega Bay
  • Seven Har-Tru tennis courts, two of which the association says are set up for pickleball
  • A fitness center and saunas
  • A clubhouse, shuffleboard courts and barbecue grills
  • A marina with boat slips available to buy or lease
  • A gated entrance with 24-hour security

The association website lists recent projects including resurfaced parking lots and tennis courts, a seawall replaced in 2025, and marina docks, boardwalk and clubhouse decking replaced in 2025. Ask how those projects were funded and whether any related assessments are still being collected.

Rules buyers ask about

Rentals

The association website states a 3 month minimum for condo rentals, requires written leases, and says rentals need building association approval. It describes the community as a residential owner-use condominium, not a short-term or resort-style rental property. Some owners advertise 3 month stays on vacation rental sites. Confirm the current minimum, how many leases are allowed per year, and the approval timeline before you buy with rental plans. Our guide to short-term rental rules on the Pinellas beaches covers the city side.

Pets

The association website states a no pets policy, and listing records agree. Ask how service and support animals are handled under its rules.

Parking

Listing records describe assigned spaces, guest parking and, for some units, garage spaces. The association says garage spaces and boat slips can only be owned or rented by condo unit owners. Confirm which space conveys with the unit you are considering.

Building condition and condo law

The towers were built in the late 1970s and are well over three stories, so they fall under Florida’s milestone inspection law and the requirement to complete a structural integrity reserve study (SIRS) and fund reserves for the items it covers. The association website refers to building associations for each condominium, so request documents for the specific building you are buying in, plus any master or club association:

  • The milestone inspection summary, and whether a phase two inspection or repairs followed
  • The most recent SIRS and the reserve funding schedule
  • The current budgets and annual financial statements
  • Twelve to 24 months of board minutes
  • Any adopted or proposed special assessments, including for the seawall, docks, concrete or windows

We did not find public news reports about the Yacht and Tennis Club specifically after Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. Storm surge from those storms flooded many bayfront and ground level areas on the Pinellas beaches, so ask how the marina, garages, pool area and building systems fared, how repairs were funded, and whether any insurance claims remain open. Our guide to Florida condo milestone inspections, reserves and SIRS explains what to look for, and our seawall and dock inspection guide covers the waterfront side.

Flood and insurance

A recent listing at the Yacht and Tennis Club shows flood insurance required. Ask for the flood zone and elevation details for the building you are considering, the master policy declarations including wind and flood deductibles, and quotes for your own HO-6 and flood coverage early in your inspection period. Our St. Pete Beach flood zones and insurance guide explains how zones and elevation affect coverage.

Buying or selling at the Yacht and Tennis Club

With five condominiums and hundreds of units, the Yacht and Tennis Club has more sales than most St. Pete Beach buildings, but building, floor, view and update level all move value, and a deeded or leased slip can matter to boaters. Ask us for recent sales and current listings, broken out by building. You can contact us here or call (727) 955-1222.
